    Description

Guitarist Dave Murray of seminal U.K. metal heroes Iron Maiden has been laying it down with a Fender since the mid '70s. Murray recently joined forces with Fender to create a signature electric guitar based on his own '57 Stratocaster, previously owned by the late, guitarist Paul Kossoff from the band Free. The Dave Murray Stratocaster guitar boasts a supercharged humbucker/single-coil/humbucker configuration a DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary DP103 neck pickup, a DiMarzio Super Distortion DP100 bridge pickup, and a Fender vintage-style middle pickup. The Fender Dave Murray Guitar includes a lacquer finish, and a flatter, soft V-shaped neck with satin back.

    Wonderful Instrument!

I bought this guitar because Dave Murray is my primary influence, and he just won't give me his. My band covers Maiden (among others) and I'm often doing the Murray parts.

In a word - Tone. After seeking this sound for 25 years, it is very rewarding to just plug it in and have the definitive Dave Murray sound. This guitar truly delivers that. Set it to the neck pickup and away you go. Don't over do your effects, you'll rob yourself of this guitar's character.

Very solid, plays beautifully and delivers exactly what it promises. The '57 vintage touches are very nice, including lacquer finish, Gotoh tuners, and a very nice replica '57 tweed case.
